Center for Competition
Center of Competition Studies focuses on the analysis of the state interventions into the branch of the protection of the economic competition. It devotes itself to the competition policy in its narrow definition and also to the state regulation and liberalization of s.c. net industries, informational and telecommunication technologies; it concerns with the questions of intellectual property, patents, and last, but not least, its attention focuses on the governmental policy of subsidizing of private subjects, which - within the local conditions - belongs under the jurisdiction of the competition authorities.
The aim of the work of Center of Competition Studies is the monitoring and consequently objective examination of certain state interventions from the point of view of the economic efficiency, in the form of articles and other contributions of the fellows of the Center. Conclusions of its work involve also working papers, comments and other media outputs concerning with the negative effects of state interventions into the branch of competition and economic competition and establishing discussion about necessity of these remedies of the economic policy (and the way of using of certain instruments).
